Have you been to the seaside?
Have you seen fishermen’s boats going out on the sea to fish?
Jesus was walking next to the sea of Galilee in a town called Capernaum. He called to some men, who were fishermen. They were casting a net into the lake.
“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”
At once they left their nets and followed him. They became his friends and disciples.
Make a boat out of wax off a Babybel cheese portion, a small piece of paper and a cocktail stick.
Prayer: Jesus you chose ordinary work men as your friends, thank that you choose to be friends with us. Please help us do what you want us to do.
We can meet together as Messy Church on Sunday 4th July
Please come and join us in the church garden at 3.30pm.
Go around the front of the church
Plan B would be the use of the hall.
Bring a picnic for your family including drinks. We are not allowed to share food and cups.
If you come by car, bring your own folding chairs. We can carry out some chairs from the dining room.
Our children are all classed as young children and can join in freely together.
Please bring the children in old play clothes as we will be painting a farewell banner for Imran.
Talk together beforehand about what you would like to say to Imran. What have you enjoyed most that you have done with him?
We will be playing games and having a story too, and some of these will include sticky tape and cardboard -creativeness.
Love from the Messy Church Team
